UKCAT (UCAT)

Used
How?Those who meet their minimum academic criteria will be ranked according to 50:50 weighting (UKCAT 50% and academic ability 50%). UKCAT scores sorted into deciles; candidates must score more than average UKCAT score to be considered (this was around 2330 in 2016). An interview will not be offered if the total UKCAT score is below the third decile. However, there is no guarantee of interview if you score above the third decile.n/a

BMAT

Used
How?n/aThe BMAT score is used to rank candidates for interview. BSMS scores the BMAT out of 28 (9 marks for Section 1, 9 for Section 2 and 5 marks for each element of Section 3) we then rank all applicants according to their total score out of 28 and work down the rankings to fill our interview places. For 2016 entry, applicants without contextual data who scored 16 or above were invited for interview (the cut off score will vary each year).
