How?Those who meet their minimum academic criteria will be ranked according to 50:50 weighting (UKCAT 50% and academic ability 50%). UKCAT scores sorted into deciles; candidates must score more than average UKCAT score to be considered (this was around 2330 in 2016). An interview will not be offered if the total UKCAT score is below the third decile. However, there is no guarantee of interview if you score above the third decile.There is no UKCAT cut off score. The weightings of your application are as follows: academic score - 30%; personal statement score - 50%; UKCAT - 20%.

Entry Requirements

GCSE Subjects RequiredAll eligible applicants must have the following subjects at GCSE level, at grades AAABBB (777666 for GSCEs taken from 2015) or above (in any order) to include Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry, English Language, and Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics or Statistics). The Science Double Award may substitute all sciences at GCSE.Minimum five GCSEs at grade A to include Mathematics, English Language and two science subjects. In England, where numerical GCSE grades will start to replace letter GCSE grades, we will be aligning the two grading schemes as follows: 4 or 5 is C, 6 is B, 7 is A, and 8 or 9 is A*.
A-Level Subjects RequiredChemistry or Biology, and another Science or Maths (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Maths) plus any other subject (General studies/critical thinking/ further Maths if Mathematics is included in A- Levels is not acceptable).AA in Chemistry and either Biology, Physics or Mathematics.
