How?The BMAT score is used to rank candidates for interview. BSMS scores the BMAT out of 28 (9 marks for Section 1, 9 for Section 2 and 5 marks for each element of Section 3) we then rank all applicants according to their total score out of 28 and work down the rankings to fill our interview places. For 2016 entry, applicants without contextual data who scored 16 or above were invited for interview (the cut off score will vary each year).n/a

Entry Requirements

GCSE Subjects RequiredEnglish Language/Literature and Maths, Grade B (Grade 6) or above.5 Year Course and Foundation Course: B (grade 6) in Mathematics, B (grade 6) in English Language, AA (7,7) in Science and Additional Science, or AAB in three separate sciences. These are the minimum and not the standard requirements.
A-Level Subjects RequiredBiology and Chemistry mandatory. No specified third subject (they encourage humanities/arts for broadening academic horizons) - vast majority of applicants choose to study Maths or Physics. General studies not accepted.5 year course: Students must offer three A2 level subjects which should include Chemistry and Biology. General Studies, Critical Thinking and Further Mathematics are not acceptable at A2 Level. Foundation Course: If your qualifications do not include the correct subjects to be considered for the 5 year course, then you can apply for the foundation course (which goes on to the 5 year programme).
