How?The BMAT score is used to rank candidates for interview. BSMS scores the BMAT out of 28 (9 marks for Section 1, 9 for Section 2 and 5 marks for each element of Section 3) we then rank all applicants according to their total score out of 28 and work down the rankings to fill our interview places. For 2016 entry, applicants without contextual data who scored 16 or above were invited for interview (the cut off score will vary each year).n/a

Entry Requirements

GCSE Subjects RequiredEnglish Language/Literature and Maths, Grade B (Grade 6) or above.Minimum five GCSEs at grade A to include Mathematics, English Language and two science subjects. In England, where numerical GCSE grades will start to replace letter GCSE grades, we will be aligning the two grading schemes as follows: 4 or 5 is C, 6 is B, 7 is A, and 8 or 9 is A*.

No specified third subject (they encourage humanities/arts for broadening academic horizons) - vast majority of applicants choose to study Maths or Physics.
