How?n/aInvitations to an interview will be based on the content of your UCAS application and your performance in all three sections of BMAT. BMAT cut-off scores are calculated each year, as a result of ranked candidate BMAT scores versus number of expected interview sessions. As a result, the absolute BMAT cut-off changes each year. For 2018 entry, the minimum scores required were: - a score of 4.1 in section 1 - a score of 4.2 in section 2 - a score of 2.5 and grade C in section 3

Entry Requirements

GCSE Subjects Required5 Year Course and Foundation Course: B (grade 6) in Mathematics, B (grade 6) in English Language, AA (7,7) in Science and Additional Science, or AAB in three separate sciences. These are the minimum and not the standard requirements.Grade B (Grade 6) in English Language. If candidates don't have this, GCSE English must be resat (and made clear on the application).
A-Level Subjects Required5 year course: Students must offer three A2 level subjects which should include Chemistry and Biology. General Studies, Critical Thinking and Further Mathematics are not acceptable at A2 Level. Foundation Course: If your qualifications do not include the correct subjects to be considered for the 5 year course, then you can apply for the foundation course (which goes on to the 5 year programme).Chemistry, Biology and any third subject (excluding vocational subjects, General Studies and Critical Thinking).

Applicants should normally achieve the qualifications (Highers or Advanced Highers) at the first attempt of the examinations. Mathematics and English Language must be passed to at least Standard Level with Grade 2 or Grade B.AAA in Scottish Advanced Highers, to be achieved in one sitting and without resits.

The other subject (Biology/Chemistry) must be offered at Standard Level if not at Higher. Physics must be offered at GCSE level if not at Higher or Subsidiary Level.Higher Level Biology and Chemistry. If either Biology or Chemistry is offered at Standard Level, one other science of maths subject must be offered at Higher Level. Also require English at Standard Level.
IB Grades Required36. Minimum of 19 points at Higher Level. 7,6,6 must be offered at Higher Level; 7 points at Standard Level Chemistry/Biology if not at Higher Level.38. Biology and Chemistry at Higher Level 6. English at Standard Level 5. As a guide, the typical offer made in 2017 to at least 85% of applicants studying IB was 39 points overall. Usually, offers included a 7 in Biology or Chemistry at higher level.
