How?n/aApplicants are considered in 5 stages. 1: Academic Critera, 2: BMAT, 3: Non-academic Criteria, 4: Interview, 5: Fitness to Practice. They calculate the total BMAT score by combining the individual scores for Sections 1, 2 and 3. Section 1 is scored out of 9; Section 2 is scored out of 9; and Section 3 is scored out of 5 (for quality of content). They do not use the quality of English score (A-E).

Entry Requirements

GCSE Subjects Required5 Year Course and Foundation Course: B (grade 6) in Mathematics, B (grade 6) in English Language, AA (7,7) in Science and Additional Science, or AAB in three separate sciences. These are the minimum and not the standard requirements.9 subjects: 15 points (A*/A = 2 points, B = 1 point), including at least Grade B in English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry (or Core and Additional Science). Grade C must be achieved in all other subjects. New grading system A*=Grade 8/9, A=7 and B=6)
A-Level Subjects Required5 year course: Students must offer three A2 level subjects which should include Chemistry and Biology. General Studies, Critical Thinking and Further Mathematics are not acceptable at A2 Level. Foundation Course: If your qualifications do not include the correct subjects to be considered for the 5 year course, then you can apply for the foundation course (which goes on to the 5 year programme).A2 Biology and Chemistry are mandatory. General Studies accepted as 4th AS Level only. Only one of Maths/Further Maths will be considered. Three subjects taken at one sitting, after 2 years of study, plus a 4th subject at AS-level 5 or EPQ.
