UKCAT (UCAT)

Used
How?UEA do not set a minimum cut-off score for the UKCAT, but consider the component scores within the academic screening processes. Whilst a high UKCAT score may be advantageous, a low score in an otherwise strong application will not automatically disqualify an applicant from consideration. From UEA's experience, it is unusual for an applicant with a UKCAT score of less than 2400 to be invited to interview.1. Verbal reasoning is used to select (the cut-off is the mean, which was 577 in 2015). Those scoring below the cut-off for VR will be rejected. 2. UKCAT total scores helps assign applicants into centiles. The lowest UKCAT score for an applicant with an undergraduate degree who was invited to selection centre was 2,800 for 2015 entry. 3. Academic achievements are also considered and scored (a PhD scores the most). Then, the total score dervied from points 1,2,3 is used to rank for interview.
