You must achieve a minimum overall GAMSAT score of 50, together with a minimum of 50 in Paper 3 (Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences) in order to be considered.At Newcastle, applications fulfilling the academic thresholds will then be assessed on their UKCAT scores. The UKCAT threshold may vary depending upon the competition to each programme. The threshold is based on the total UKCAT score. This threshold may differ in each admission cycle, as it is dependent on the scores achieved by applicants in the current cycle.

A-Level Subjects Requiredn/aCandidates must have Chemistry and/or Biology at A or AS level. General Studies/Critical Thinking are not considered. For Biology, Chemistry and Physics, a pass is required in the practical element. If only one of Biology/Chemistry is offered at A or AS level, the other should be offered at GCSE with an A grade or 7.
