Entry Requirements

GCSE Subjects RequiredIn the case of applicants who do not have Biology at A-Level, they should have studied the subject to GCSE level and achieved at least a grade BWe expect applicants to have obtained a substantial number of GCSE passes, at a high standard. At least 6 grade B’s (or a mark of 6 if applicants have taken the new GCSEs) must be offered including the following: • English • Mathematics • Dual/Double Science, or Science and Additional Science, or Chemistry and Biology These are the minimum entry requirements for Leeds; applicants should be aware that admission is highly competitive and the majority of applicants will have qualifications well above this standard.
A-Level Subjects RequiredChemistry, one from Maths or Biology and a third subject. In the case of applicants who do not have Biology at A-Level, they should have studied the subject to GCSE level and achieved at least a grade B.Chemistry required. General Studies & Critical Thinking are not considered. Certain combinations are not acceptable - for example, Chemistry with Biology and Human Biology or Chemistry with Maths and Further Maths.
