UKCAT (UCAT)

Used
How?n/aAt Southampton, students are ranked by UKCAT score and from there invited to a Selection Day, provided they also meet the academic criteria. They do not currently use the Situational Judgement test.

BMAT

Used
How?Used alongside Personal Statement and grades. Admissions Tutors use the BMAT results in conjunction with the other elements of students' applications to decide which candidates will be invited to interview and to help with deciding who should be offered places on the course. Students who achieve higher BMAT results are more likely to be invited to interview but there isn't a 'pass' mark for the BMAT at Cambridge. As an indication, last year around 79% of candidates who scored an average of 5.0 or above in Sections 1 and 2 were interviews, and around 33% of those scoring below 5.0 were interviewed.n/a
