How?Glasgow consider the UKCAT with all other aspects of your application. The range of scores they consider changes each year as the performance of each admissions cohort varies. The Situational Judgement section of the UKCAT test will not be taken into consideration for entry in 2017.At Southampton, students are ranked by UKCAT score and from there invited to a Selection Day, provided they also meet the academic criteria. They do not currently use the Situational Judgement test.

Entry Requirements

GCSE Subjects RequiredGrade B (Grade 6) in English Language.Six GCSEs at grade A (grade 7) or above, including either Maths, Biology and Chemistry, or Maths, Additional Science and Science. English Language is required at a minimum of grade B (level 6).
A-Level Subjects RequiredMust include Chemistry and one of Maths, Physics or Biology. General Studies and Critical Thinking are not acceptable as third subjects. If Biology is not studied at A2 level, it must have been taken at AS level. Biology and Human Biology are NOT considered as separate subjects. Maths and Further Maths are NOT considered as separate subjects.Chemistry and Biology. Not accepted at A2: General Studies, Critical Thinking, or subjects with material that overlaps (eg. human biology/sports studies/physical education). AS Levels are not required.
A-Level Grades RequiredAAA (in three A2 examinations at one sitting). If Biology not taken at A Level, then must be an A grade at AS level.AAA.
