GCSE Subjects RequiredAt least six GCSEs at grade 7 (A) including biology and chemistry, one of either physics or maths must also be passed to grade 7 (A) with the other being grade 6 (B) and a minimum of grade 6 (B) in English language. (Double science requirement is 7,7 and triple science is 7,7,7).5 Year Course and Foundation Course: B (grade 6) in Mathematics, B (grade 6) in English Language, AA (7,7) in Science and Additional Science, or AAB in three separate sciences. These are the minimum and not the standard requirements.
A-Level Subjects RequiredBiology (or human biology) and chemistry at grade A (a pass is required in science practical tests, where assessed separately). The third A can be in any subject except citizenship studies, critical thinking, general studies and global perspectives. A levels must be taken within a two-year period.5 year course: Students must offer three A2 level subjects which should include Chemistry and Biology. General Studies, Critical Thinking and Further Mathematics are not acceptable at A2 Level. Foundation Course: If your qualifications do not include the correct subjects to be considered for the 5 year course, then you can apply for the foundation course (which goes on to the 5 year programme).
