How?The test must be taken prior to your application in the year of application. At Sheffield, in addition to academic entry requirements, candidates must have achieved a score of 2470/3600 or above in their UCAT to be given further consideration. The Situational Judgement component is considered for those invited to attend a Multiple Mini Interview (MMI).There is no UKCAT cut off score. The weightings of your application are as follows: academic score - 30%; personal statement score - 50%; UKCAT - 20%.

GCSE Subjects RequiredYou should have at least five grade A (grade 7) GCSE subjects; GCSE passes at grade B (grade 6) or above in Mathematics, English and at least one science subject (which may be dual awards); The five A grades may include Mathematics, English or a science subject; Acceptable science GCSEs include: Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics, Psychology, Sciences (dual awards).Minimum five GCSEs at grade A to include Mathematics, English Language and two science subjects. In England, where numerical GCSE grades will start to replace letter GCSE grades, we will be aligning the two grading schemes as follows: 4 or 5 is C, 6 is B, 7 is A, and 8 or 9 is A*.
A-Level Subjects RequiredChemistry or Biology and one other science (Maths, Physics, Biology/Human Biology or Psychology). The combination of Chemistry and Biology is acceptable. Critical Thinking and General Studies are not accepted. Further Mathematics for candidates who hold Mathematics A Level are not considered.AA in Chemistry and either Biology, Physics or Mathematics.
