How?At Southampton, students are ranked by UKCAT score and from there invited to a Selection Day, provided they also meet the academic criteria. They do not currently use the Situational Judgement test.There is no UKCAT cut off score. The weightings of your application are as follows: academic score - 30%; personal statement score - 50%; UKCAT - 20%.

GCSE Subjects RequiredSix GCSEs at grade A (grade 7) or above, including either Maths, Biology and Chemistry, or Maths, Additional Science and Science. English Language is required at a minimum of grade B (level 6).Minimum five GCSEs at grade A to include Mathematics, English Language and two science subjects. In England, where numerical GCSE grades will start to replace letter GCSE grades, we will be aligning the two grading schemes as follows: 4 or 5 is C, 6 is B, 7 is A, and 8 or 9 is A*.
A-Level Subjects RequiredChemistry and Biology. Not accepted at A2: General Studies, Critical Thinking, or subjects with material that overlaps (eg. human biology/sports studies/physical education). AS Levels are not required.AA in Chemistry and either Biology, Physics or Mathematics.
