|How?||At Southampton, students are ranked by UKCAT score and from there invited to a Selection Day, provided they also meet the academic criteria. They do not currently use the Situational Judgement test.||The test must be taken prior to your application in the year of application. At Sheffield, in addition to academic entry requirements, candidates must have achieved a score of 2470/3600 or above in their UCAT to be given further consideration. The Situational Judgement component is considered for those invited to attend a Multiple Mini Interview (MMI).|
|GCSE Subjects Required||Six GCSEs at grade A (grade 7) or above, including either Maths, Biology and Chemistry, or Maths, Additional Science and Science. English Language is required at a minimum of grade B (level 6).||You should have at least five grade A (grade 7) GCSE subjects;
GCSE passes at grade B (grade 6) or above in Mathematics, English and at least one science subject (which may be dual awards);
The five A grades may include Mathematics, English or a science subject;

|A-Level Subjects Required||Chemistry and Biology. Not accepted at A2: General Studies, Critical Thinking, or subjects with material that overlaps (eg. human biology/sports studies/physical education). AS Levels are not required.||Chemistry or Biology and one other science (Maths, Physics, Biology/Human Biology or Psychology). The combination of Chemistry and Biology is acceptable.
