The Situational Judgement score contributes to the overall interview score.At Newcastle, applications fulfilling the academic thresholds will then be assessed on their UKCAT scores. The UKCAT threshold may vary depending upon the competition to each programme. The threshold is based on the total UKCAT score. This threshold may differ in each admission cycle, as it is dependent on the scores achieved by applicants in the current cycle.

GCSE Subjects RequiredMinimum of 5 A (grade 7) GCSEsIf Chemistry or Biology are not offered at AS/A-Level, they must be offered at GCSE with Grade A or 7.
A-Level Subjects RequiredChemistry and one other from Biology, Mathematics or Physics. Does not have a preference for the third Advanced Level subject. Human Biology may replace Biology. General Studies, Critical Thinking and Global Perspectives & Research are not accepted. Only one of Mathematics or Further Mathematics will be considered for the 3 subjects required at Advanced Level.Candidates must have Chemistry and/or Biology at A or AS level. General Studies/Critical Thinking are not considered. For Biology, Chemistry and Physics, a pass is required in the practical element. If only one of Biology/Chemistry is offered at A or AS level, the other should be offered at GCSE with an A grade or 7.
