How?1. Verbal reasoning is used to select (the cut-off is the mean, which was 577 in 2015). Those scoring below the cut-off for VR will be rejected. 2. UKCAT total scores helps assign applicants into centiles. The lowest UKCAT score for an applicant with an undergraduate degree who was invited to selection centre was 2,800 for 2015 entry. 3. Academic achievements are also considered and scored (a PhD scores the most). Then, the total score dervied from points 1,2,3 is used to rank for interview.Cardiff does not have a minimum threshold score for the UKCAT, however, the UKCAT score may be used as part of the assessment procedure or in borderline cases.

GCSE Subjects RequiredGraduate Entry only - GCSE requirements unspecified5 Year Course and Foundation Course: B (grade 6) in Mathematics, B (grade 6) in English Language, AA (7,7) in Science and Additional Science, or AAB in three separate sciences. These are the minimum and not the standard requirements.
A-Level Subjects RequiredNot taken into consideration - to apply, you should have, or be predicted to gain, a minimum of an upper second class honours (2:1) degree (or overseas equivalent) in any subject.5 year course: Students must offer three A2 level subjects which should include Chemistry and Biology. General Studies, Critical Thinking and Further Mathematics are not acceptable at A2 Level. Foundation Course: If your qualifications do not include the correct subjects to be considered for the 5 year course, then you can apply for the foundation course (which goes on to the 5 year programme).
