How?1. Verbal reasoning is used to select (the cut-off is the mean, which was 577 in 2015). Those scoring below the cut-off for VR will be rejected. 2. UKCAT total scores helps assign applicants into centiles. The lowest UKCAT score for an applicant with an undergraduate degree who was invited to selection centre was 2,800 for 2015 entry. 3. Academic achievements are also considered and scored (a PhD scores the most). Then, the total score dervied from points 1,2,3 is used to rank for interview.n/a

How?n/aThe BMAT is used to rank medical students for interview, but there is no cut off. The Essay (section III) is used as discussion in the interview.

Entry Requirements

GCSE Subjects RequiredGraduate Entry only - GCSE requirements unspecifiedGCSE (or IGCSE, O-level, IB or EB equivalent) at grade B or above in both English Language and Mathematics. For candidates taking the new style of GCSEs with numerical outcomes rather than letter grades, the requirement is for a score of 6 in both English Language and Mathematics. UCL expects all UK applicants to offer a Modern Foreign Language (not including Ancient Greek, Biblical Hebrew or Latin) at GCSE grade C or equivalent (the requirement for the new style of GCSEs with numerical outcomes will be score of 5). This requirement does not apply to international students. Candidates can be admitted if they do not offer a foreign language GCSE (and their application will not be disadvantaged), but they would be obliged to take a language course during their first year.
A-Level Subjects RequiredNot taken into consideration - to apply, you should have, or be predicted to gain, a minimum of an upper second class honours (2:1) degree (or overseas equivalent) in any subject.Chemistry and Biology must be studied at A-level. The third subject is the student’s own choice and can be any subject other than General Studies or Critical Thinking.
