How?1. Verbal reasoning is used to select (the cut-off is the mean, which was 577 in 2015). Those scoring below the cut-off for VR will be rejected. 2. UKCAT total scores helps assign applicants into centiles. The lowest UKCAT score for an applicant with an undergraduate degree who was invited to selection centre was 2,800 for 2015 entry. 3. Academic achievements are also considered and scored (a PhD scores the most). Then, the total score dervied from points 1,2,3 is used to rank for interview.n/a

How?n/aUsed alongside Personal Statement and grades. Admissions Tutors use the BMAT results in conjunction with the other elements of students' applications to decide which candidates will be invited to interview and to help with deciding who should be offered places on the course. Students who achieve higher BMAT results are more likely to be invited to interview but there isn't a 'pass' mark for the BMAT at Cambridge. As an indication, last year around 79% of candidates who scored an average of 5.0 or above in Sections 1 and 2 were interviews, and around 33% of those scoring below 5.0 were interviewed.
